Pediatric Home Healthcare (PHH) strives to make the transition to Private Duty Nursing as comfortable as possible for our patients and families. After receiving information concerning a medically fragile child, either directly from a family member or a referral source, we will come to the client and perform an initial assessment within 24 hours. During this assessment, our Account Manager will inform the family of our services, the screening process our nurses must complete prior to becoming a PHH nurse and answer any questions you may have about our services or private duty nursing in general. Our Director of Nursing will also be present during this meeting and will perform a nursing assessment on the client. Our staff will make every effort to learn about the clients “likes” and “dislikes” in an effort to make the best possible choices when selecting nurses for your case. We will send nurses out to meet our potential clients and their families to provide the families with an opportunity to interview the nursing staff. For those clients that have an advanced airway, a tracheostomy, or depend on a ventilator for respiratory support, we have a Respiratory Therapist on staff, ready to answer any questions you may have or provide support to our nurses. At Pediatric Home Healthcare, we believe in providing clients with only the highest quality, most compassionate, skilled nursing care.
